I am Dr. K. Viswakarma from Hyderabad City , Telangana State, India. I had passion to become an Artiste since childhood. I got trained in Traditional Folk dances under Guru Sri Ranga Sai Bhat for 6 years. After that I established Folk-Tribal Cultural Association. Under this banner I got the First opportunity in 1997 to perform Traditional Folk & Tribal Dances at Lakshdaweep Islands organized by SZCC, Thanjavur. From that day onwards I have been performing with my artistes at various places at India programmes conducted by SZCC, Thanjavur, SCZCC, Nagpur, WZCC, Udaipur and our State Telangana Language and Cultural Department’s programs.

I completed my Post Graduation in Hindi in 1997 from Osmania University and Diploma in Folk-Arts, from Potti Sriramulu Telugu University in 1996 , Hyderabad.

I worked as a Cultural Head and Lecturer in Shantiniketan Women’s College, Hyderabad for 15 years. I trained many students in Folk dances and made them perform at National level programmes and they the got 1st place in the Inter College Competitions conducted by Osmania University.

With the Blessings of my Guru Sri Rangasai Bhatt and Smt. Amba Ramaswamy I got an opportunity to perform at International level in 2004 at Kuwaitat the Inaugural Program of KALANJALI CULTURAL ACADEMY organized by Sri Annadatha Murali and Telugu Samskuritika Nilayam Cultural Program held at Mauritius in 2006 invited by Sri Narayana samy Sanyasi. With his help I met the present Prime Minister and Former President of Mauritius Sri Anirudh Jagannath, Deputy Prime Minister and other Ministers, Performed at the India-Mindil Beach Festival held at Australia in 2007, Ugadi Celebrations at New Zealand 2008 invited by Beeram Venugopal Reddy, Sri Balaji Brahmotsavam held at Birmingham , UK invited by Smt. Sashikala Thallam and I conducted short term dance coaching at Vietnam under Maha Yoga invited by Sri Murali, International Yoga and Dance Instructor in 2014.

The United Theological Research and Studies University, Hyderabad (Affiliated to Berkeley University, California) presented Honorary Doctorate in 2012. From 2013 onwards I have been Participating in cultural programs like Aadi Rangam organized by National School of Drama, New Delhi and also did paper presentation at National Level Seminar on Tribal Culture Subject held at Mumbai in 2013.

My aim is that Folk & Tribal artistes should be treated on par with classical dancers, respect and hospitality same to be implement on Folk and Tribal Artistes. I am also trying to bring the dying art forms to limelight and get more name and fame at International scenario .
